Covid-19: 40 Persons Now Infected In Nigeria As NCDC Confirms 4 New Cases
Nigeria has recorded four new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
It said this brings the total number of infected persons in Nigeria to 40 as of 11:00 pm on Monday.
NCDC confirmed this in a tweet Monday night.
According to the agency, three of the new cases are in Lagos while the other one is in Abuja.
“Four new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 3 are in Lagos State and 1 in FCT.
“Two of these cases are returning travelers.
“As at 11:00 pm on the 23rd of March, there are 40 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death recorded,” the agency tweeted.
