Court Remands Iskilu Wakili, Two Sons In Correctional Facility
Suspected warlord, Iskilu Wakili has been remanded in a correctional facility in Oyo State.
Wakili, 70, was remanded by an Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court in Ibadan, the state capital, on charges of conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
He is alleged to be behind series of violent crimes in the Ibarapa area of the state.
Wakili was remanded along with his sons Abu, 45, and Samaila, 27, as well as Aliyu Manu, 20.

The suspects were ordered to be remanded in Abolongo Correctional facility. Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Idowu, who rejected the suspects’ bail plea, for lack of jurisdiction, adjourned the matter till May 17, for mention.
Idowu ordered the police to return the case file to the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution.
Recall that Wakili was arrested by officials of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in connection with alleged kidnappings and murder of innocent farmers in Ibarapa.
