Cinemas To Reopen From September 11

Cinemas To Reopen From September 11

The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) has announced that movie theaters across the country will reopen on September 11, following months of closure.

It would be recalled that since the outbreak of the pandemic, all social gatherings were made to shut down including parks, eateries, clubs, among others and with activities gradually resuming again, Nigerians cannot wait to have fun while seeing upcoming Nollywood blockbusters after weeks of being in quarantine.

The association broke the news via its Instagram page on Monday, in a development that would end months of shutdown which the federal government had enforced in March to curb COVID-19 spread.

Chairman of CEAN, Patrick Lee, in August, said industry lost N1 billion monthly, rendering staff jobless, following the lockdown.
