Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori, has been granted bail by a Kaduna Magistrate Court on Monday, Premium Times reports.
His lawyer, John Danfulani said Maikori received bail on “very liberal terms”.
Danfulani said he was taken to court by police officers and the Director of Public Prosecution in Kaduna State, Dari Bayero.
“The government charged him under Section 24 of Cybercrime Act. He will appear before the Chief Magistrate,” Danfulani said.
He had tweeted that some students of an institution in Kaduna were killed which turned out to be false.
Maikori later apologised for the misinformation but was arrested and later released following outrage online.
