Burna Boy Nominated For 2021 BRIT Awards

Burna Boy has been nominated for the 2021 BRIT Awards shortly after his Grammy win.

The announcement was made on the official Twitter handle of Brit Awards on Wednesday, March 31.

The Afro-fusion singer was nominated for the ‘International Male Solo Artist’ category alongside veteran American icon, Bruce Springsteen; Canadian Singer, The Weeknd; Childish Gambino and Tame Impala.

The winners of the 2021 awards will be announced at a ceremony on May 11 at London’s O2 Arena, though it is not clear what form the ceremony will take because of coronavirus restrictions.

The annual ceremony, which normally takes place in February was postponed by three months because of safety and logistical concerns because of the pandemic.

Burna Boy is a two-time recipient of BET’s Best International Act award and MTV Europe Music Award’s Best African Act.
