Boko Haram Attacks Acting IGP’s Hometown Geidam In Yobe
Boko Haram on Friday attacked Geidam, Yobe State, the home town of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali.
It was gathered that the attackers invaded the town on Friday evening and laid siege on some parts of the town.
The terrorists attacked the heart of the town, burning shops and shooting indiscriminately in a gun battle with troops, according to a source.
According to sources, a military jet has been deployed to the town to dislodge the insurgents.
Geidam previously came under attack on February 9, barely after newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru visited troops
