The local currency opened at N560.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Saturday, 20 November 2021, in Lagos Nigeria after it closed N547.00 per $1 on Friday, 19 November 2021.

 

Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦560 per $1 today, Glamtush reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market. The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.

 

Glamtush reports that the black market, the players buy a dollar for N545 and sell for N560 on Saturday morning, November 20, 2021 after they bought N542 and sold for N547 on Friday morning, November 19.

 

Meanwhile, Glamtush reports that the USD started this week at ₦541 in Parallel Market also known as Black Market on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened at  ₦565 last week Monday, November 8, 2021.
