The exchange rate between the Naira and the US dollar according to the official market forex data showed that the naira opened at ₦413.9502per dollar on Wednesday, 1 June 2022, after it closed at ₦ 415.161  per $1 on Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

The local currency opened at N605.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Wednesday, 1 June 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, after it closed at N605.00 per $1 on Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦605 per $1 today, Newsone reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market. The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.

ewsone Nigeria reports that on the black market, the players buy a dollar for N600 and sell for N605 on Wednesday, 1 June 2022, after they bought N600 and sold for N605 on Tuesday, 1 June 2022.

Meanwhile, Glamtush reports that the USD started this week at ₦605 in Parallel Market also known as Black Market on Monday,  30 May 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened at ₦605 last week Monday, 23 May 2022.
