Glamtush reports that anti-protesters on Thursday attacked the PUNCH, Guardian, Sahara Asaba correspondents, Matthew Ochei, Monday Osayande, and a Pointer reporter Lucy respectively in Delta State.

The protest was peaceful around 10 am until the anti-protesters arrived at about 11:20 and started chasing the protesters away amidst security agencies.

The PUNCH correspondent alongside the other journalists was taking photos and interviewing the protesters when the anti-protesters smashed their gadgets and attacked them.

The policemen on the ground folded their hands and we’re watching them attacking us unchallenged.

It took the efforts of the military personnel to rescue the journalists and recover their phones.
