American rapper, Kanye West, has finally released his long-awaited gospel album titled ‘Jesus is King.’
He released the album today (Friday) and it has been trending on Twitter since then.
One of the songs on the 11-track album titled “Closed On Sunday” features the chorus “Closed on Sunday / You my Chick-fil-A,” referencing Chick-fil-A’s religious policy of closing all of its locations every Sunday. “Hold the selfies / Put the ‘gram away / Get your family / Now hold hands and pray,” West raps in the song.
The rest of the album includes other spiritual-themed titles such as “God Is,” “Follow God”, “On God,” “Use The Gospel,” “Jesus Is Lord,” “Hands On,” “Every Hour,” “Everything We Need” and “Selah.”
Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, also announced the album’s release on Twitter. She tweeted, “Jesus Is King Is out!!!! Praise God ???????? What’s your favourite song?”
It would be recalled that earlier this month, Kanye declared that he is now a Christian.
