Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday commissioned the renovated Agbala Paediatric Centre, as well as the newly constructed Accident and Emergency Ward, at the General Hospital both in Ikorodu.
Heineken African Foundation of the Nigerian Breweries Plc executed the project as its Social Corporate Responsibility, (CRS).
Ambode who was represented at the event by his deputy, Dr. Idiat Adebule commended the contribution of Nigerian Breweries Plc, through its foundation stating that the two projects undertaken by the company was in line with his administration’s desire to provide accessible and qualitative healthcare for the people of the state.
He added that the pediatric center will not only complement the existing Mother and Child Centre at the hospital, but also provide additional facilities for the treatment of children. While the emergency and accident centre is timely to serve the growing population in Ikorodu and it environs.
