Glamtush reports that Indian actress Alia Bhatt after making her grand debut at Met Gala 2023, has been announced by Italian luxury house Gucci as their first Indian Global Ambassador on Thursday, May 11. Alia has now become the global face of the luxury brand.
No doubt, Alia has always managed to impress when it comes to fashion. According to Vogue, Alia will be seen attending her first show with Gucci’s upcoming Cruise 2024 showcase in Seoul, South Korea. It will take place at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The show will mark Gucci’s 25 years in the country. Alia will be joining the global ambassadors at Gucci like Dakota Johnson, Hanni from the Kpop group New Jeans and Harry Styles.
To celebrate the new milestone, Alia took to Instagram to share a sweet note and expressed what the brand deal means to her. She posted a set of photos from her new shoot with Gucci and said that she is honoured to represent the house of Gucci on the global stage.
She captioned the photo, “I’m honored to represent the house of Gucci not only in India but at a global stage. Gucci’s legacy has always inspired and intrigued me and I’m looking forward to the many sartorial milestones we create together.”

Her appointment as Gucci’s global ambassador comes ahead of the release of her Hollywood debut project, Heart of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot.
Soon after the news was shared on social media, her fans began showing her love.
One of the fans wrote, “OMG Alia Bhatt is Gucci first indian global ambassador. Congratulations girl.”
Another fan wrote, “Just slay. Queen Of Industry.”
While others were seen dropping red heart and fire emojis.
Her colleagues also congratulated her. Anushka Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor dropped fire emojis while Karan Johar wrote, “Proud proud proud.”
Meanwhile, for her Met Gala debut, Alia decided to wear a gown by designer Prabal Gurung. She donned a gorgeous white ensemble that featured 100,000 pearls. The actress was dressed according to the theme ‘In Honour of Karl’. She surely made heads turn on the red carpet.
