Glamtush reports that Afolayan Folashade Tosin emerged as the winner of the Best Collection award at the Graduate Fashion Show hosted by the Fashion Design Department of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).
The event with the theme “Neutral Tropics” took place on March 27, at the Yusuf Grillo Hall.
Prominent dignitaries in attendance included
the Rector of YABATECH, Deputy Rector (Academics), Mr. Kola Qudus, President of FADAN, Queen Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi, CEO of African Fashion Week London, YABATECH Fashion Department Alumni, Faculty members, Mr. Gbenga Enikanosaye, CEO of Gee Royal Fashion, parents, students and many others.
Graduate students showcased their collections during the event, and Tosin was awarded a cash prize of N100,000, alongside other valuable gifts like an industrial sewing machine and pressing iron, as an encouragement for her achievement.
The N100,000 cash gift was part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative from Mr. Gbenga Enikanosaye’s brand, Gee Royal Fashion which he personally presented to the winner.
