AFCON: Nigeria Beat Angola 1-0 To Qualify For Semi-Finals

Nigeria beat Angola 1-0 to qualify for AFCON the semi-finals.

Glamtush reports that the Super Eagles of Nigeria beat Angola to advance into the semi-finals game of the ongoing 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup in Cote d’Ivoire on Friday.

The Eagles are the first team to book a place in the semi-final tournament.

Ademola Lookman was once again the hero, connecting with a cross from Moses Simon to put the Eagles in front in the 41st minute. The goal was enough to secure a place for the Nigerians in the last four of the competition.

In a highly contested match at the 33,000-capacity Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Nigeria emerged victorious, securing a coveted spot in the AFCON semi-finals.

The keenly fought battle showcased the resilience and prowess of the Nigerian team, solidifying their journey towards AFCON glory.

The three-time continental champions advance to a last-four tie next Wednesday against Cape Verde or South Africa in the central Ivorian city of Bouake — those sides meet in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
