AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Osimhen Equals Odegbami In Nigeria’s Top 10 Goalscorers

Osimhen has equaled Odegbami in Nigeria’s top 10 goalscorers in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.

 

Glamtush reports that Victor Osimhen has matched the iconic Segun Odegbami in Nigeria’s all-time goalscoring chart.

The milestone was reached after Osimhen scored in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Benin Republic during a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier held on Thursday night.

 

Osimhen came into the match in third place with 22 goals.

But the 26-year-old, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, headed in the equalizer in the 81st minute in Abidjan.

Osimhen now has 23 goals, the same number as Odegbami and is only behind Rashidi Yekini (37).
