AFCON 2025 Qualifiers Draw To Hold July 4

AFCON 2025 qualifiers draw is set to hold on July 4.

 

Glamtush reports that the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 4, the Confederation African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday.

This online news platform learnt that the event will take place at SuperSport studios in South Africa.

Fifty-two countries will be drawn into 12 groups of four teams each to battle it out for places at the finals.

The qualifiers are scheduled to kick-off in September 2024 to determine the 24 nations that will compete for honours in Morocco 2025.

In attendance will be selected CAF legends, representatives of the participating teams, members of the Local Organising Committee for TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 amongst others.

Cote d’Ivoire won the last edition of the edition of the AFCON scrapping past Nigeria 2-1 in the final.
