Speaking out in her first interview in five years, superstar singer Adele has shared a number of candid insights into her personal life.
The Londoner – who is preparing to release new music this month – lifted the lid on the inspiration for her upcoming album and was frank about how her life has dramatically changed since her last release.
As she sat down with glossy magazine Vogue – alongside taking part in a high-fashion photo shoot that showcased her impressive 7 stone weight loss – the Hello hitmaker dropped several bombshells as she gave fans an insight into her private life from motherhood to ending her marriage and finding love again by speaking on the topics for the first time.

Divorce from Simon Konecki
In April 2019, Adele announced her split from husband Simon Konecki and the former couple finalised their divorce in March this year.
The hitmaker and charity CEO now share custody of eight-year-old son Angelo.
Speaking about the break-up for the first time, the musician said: “It just wasn’t right for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew. I wasn’t miserable miserable, but I would have been miserable had I not put myself first. But, yeah, nothing bad happened or anything like that.”
Adele expressed that she was sad that they couldn’t make the relationship work, mainly for their son Angelo.
She added: “I was embarrassed. I was really embarrassed. That thing of not being able to make something work.
“We’ve been trained as women to keep trying, even by the movies we watched when we were little. At the time it broke my heart, but I actually find it so interesting now. How we’re told to suck it up.”
Motherhood after divorce
Adele said during the interview that it was the questions from her son following the end of her marriage hit her the hardest.
She told the publication: “He said to my face, ‘Can you see me?’ And I was like, ‘Uh, yeah.’ And he was like, ‘ ‘Cause I can’t see you.’ Well, my whole life fell apart in that moment.
“He knew I wasn’t there. That’s when I started sharing with him.”
Adele continued: “[Angelo] has so many simple questions for me that I can’t answer because I don’t know the answer.
“Like, ‘Why can’t we still live together?’ That’s just not what people do when they get divorced. ‘But why not?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t f***ing know. That’s not what society does.’ And: ‘Why don’t you love my dad anymore?’ And I’d be like, ‘I do love your dad. I’m just not in love.’”

During the chat, Adele confirmed that she is dating sports agent Rich Paul.
The pair have been rumoured to have been dating since the summer after they were spotted sitting together at the NBA Finals in Arizona, in July.
They fanned further speculation when they attended billionaire Robert Kraft’s recent 80th birthday together.
