The exchange rate between the Naira and the US dollar according to the data posted on the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is officially traded showed that the naira opened at ₦422.2  per dollar on Monday, August 29, 2022, after it closed at ₦426.4096 per $1 on Friday, August 25, 2022.

LAGOS PARALLEL MARKET RATES August 28th, 2022 (BLACK MARKET)

 

The local currency opened at N692.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Monday, August 29, 2022, in Lagos Nigeria after it closed at N695.00 per $1 on Sunday, August 28, 2022. This represents a change in N4 from the previous day.

 

Glamtush reports that the data obtained from the bureau de change showed that on the black market, the players buy a dollar for N692 and sell for N695 on Monday, August 29, 2022.
