When true men of God speak, the wise are expected to listen especially when it has to do with certain decisions that will determine one’s future.
The governor of Ebonyi state, Dave Umahi and his colleague in Cross River state, Ben Ayade are definitely biting their fingers in regret after joining the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) with the hope of clinching the 2023 presidential ticket after buying forms of N100 Million each.
It was an unfortunate situation for them as a south west aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the presidential primary election and as it stands, the running mate will not even come from the south east, making the aspirants from the zone, especially Umahi and Ben Ayade to lose out completely.
Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele, a popular Nigerian prophet had warned the duo against decamping to the ruling party before they took the move. He revealed to them that it will be a mere waste of time and what they are looking for will not be given to them by the ruling party.
These were his words, ‘’The mission of Ebonyi Governor, Dave Umahi to become the president or vice president will not see the light of the day, he will be jeopardized politically and his party will not win his state in 2023.
“The Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade will be disappointed. Especially in 2023, his followers will kick against his instructions. These words were said in 2021 and the man of God categorically stated that both of them will not achieve their aim in the party and also said they will be politically irrelevant. As it stands now, there is no way the south east can clinch the presidential ticket of the APC till 2039 because if Tinubu emerges and uses eight years, the ruling party will zone back to the north. Considering this, the south east will totally become oblivion in the affairs of ruling Nigeria.
Meanwhile, if Atiku wins in the PDP, the next zone to produce a presidential candidate will be the south and of course, the eastern part will be considered. If only the two governors had listened to the warnings of the prophet, they wouldn’t be caught in the dilemma they are in presently.
