Handsome Colombian actor and model, Fabian Rios, has played the role of a villain in several telenovela series. However, he is one of the most loved actors in Telemundo series because of his impressive acting skills coupled with is good looks.
Fabian Rios was born on July 5, 1980, in Curiti, Colombia. Rios always had a clear goal right from his young age and that was to become an actor. That was the reason he left his hometown to settle in Bucaramanga and began taking acting classes. Later, he moved to Bogota, where he continued his studies at one of Colombia’s most prestigious schools for dramatic arts.
He currently plays the role of Albeiro Manrique, a loving and devoted husband and understanding father in the on-going telenovela. ‘The way to paradise’ (Sin senos no hay paraíso).
Rios made his debut in the youth romance series “Siete Veces Amada” in 2002. From that moment on, his acting career began to soar as he landed different roles, but all of them with various nuances.
The Colombian actor gained fame in 2005 when he played the lead role as Antonio Vaquero in ‘Padres e Hijos.’ Seven years later, he was recognized with two awards at the Premios Tu Mundo 2012 for his role as Willy del Castillo in Corazon Valiente (Fearless Heart).
Before fame, Fabian Rios got his first role in ‘Siete Veces Amada’, and because of his beautiful interpretation of the role, he was nominated as Best Young Actor for Colombian television.
Although, he is known for playing villain roles, nevertheless, when it comes to romantic characters, Fabian passionately delivers his roles too. In addition to his lovely acting skill, Fabian also has a good dress sense.

In the telenovela, Fabian’s role was that of a whimsical playboy and womanizer which led him to get involved with the wife of a drug lord who tried to kill him. This made his father hire a female bodyguard, Samantha (played by Ximena Duque) to protect him. Not pleased with the reality that he will be guarded by a female bodyguard, he gave her lots of problems until he realized that she was his childhood first love. Discovering who she is, love arises between them and they eventually got married after a lot of ups and downs in their relationship.
The handsome actor believes in giving life to a character who, when people see him, can describe something of himself or others. For him, as an actor, it is his responsibility to go beyond simply entertaining the public. According to him, from the moment that an actor enters a set, he has the responsibility to set an example because there are people who follow them and also believe in actors.
In 2010, Fabian signed an exclusivity contract with Telemundo to be the main antagonist of the U.S. telenovela, ‘El Fantasma de Elena’ (Elena’s Ghost) with seasoned stars, Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Segundo Cernadas, and Ana Layevska. In 2011, he was also part of the jury panel in the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2012 on Telemundo Puerto Rico.
The charming actor no doubt has had a successful acting career and he has awards to show for his talent and hard work. Fabian clinched Premio Tu Mundo for Favorite Actor and Best Male Villain in a Novela/Series for (Tierra De Reyes) in 2015. Also, he won the TVyNovelas Award Colombia for Favorite Lead Actor in a Telenovela/Series for (Sin Senos si Hay Paraiso – Season 2) in 2018.

When it comes to his family, 39-year-old Rios is a loving husband and doting father as well. He’s fun to be with. He loves and enjoys spending quality time with his family when he’s not working. He got married to his Colombian actress wife, Yuly in 2005.
Apart from enjoying his family and his career, Rios loves sports, workouts, reading, and outdoor activities. And he lives and works as if each day were the last.
When asked how he handles the attention of fans some years back, Fabian revealed that he’s very grateful for the love that people show to him. He added that it’s great to travel everywhere and find people who appreciate his hard work and effort. According to him, he grew up in a big family, so he has learned how to be open and welcoming to everyone he meets.
