Kefee’s widower Teddy Don-Momoh has lost his wife weeks after welcoming their first child.
Glamtush reports that Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, wife of Teddy Don-Momoh, the widower of late gospel singer Kefee, has died barely two weeks after welcoming their first child together.
Her family announced the development in a statement shared on her official Instagram page on Monday, disclosing that she died peacefully after a brief illness.
The statement read, ‘It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh.
“After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully.”
The family appealed for privacy as they mourn her passing and requested prayers for the repose of her soul and strength to bear the loss.
“During this deeply painful time, we humbly ask for privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul, and for all who mourn this immeasurable loss,” the statement added.

They also disclosed that details of her funeral arrangements would be announced later.
“Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and other family matters will be communicated in due course,” the family said.
Lara’s death comes just weeks after she and Teddy Don-Momoh celebrated the birth of their first child together, a milestone that drew congratulatory messages from family, friends and well-wishers.
Teddy Don-Momoh was previously married to gospel singer Kefee, who died in June 2014 after battling a lung-related illness.
Expressing appreciation for the outpouring of support, the family said, “We sincerely thank everyone for the love, support, prayers, and understanding extended to the family during this difficult time.”
