Telemundo has announced the premiere date of its new telenovela, ‘The Woman In Charge.’
The Woman In Charge, which premieres on Monday, January 26, replaces Thirst for Revenge, which ended on Monday, January 19, with new episodes airing every night at 10 pm until the season finale on April 30.
This series features a renowned cast led by Fabiola Guajardo, who played Detective Silvia Cantú on (The Search for Frida, and Iván Arana (The Lord of the Skies) in their first leading roles on Telemundo, with a special appearance by Cristián de la Fuente (Valiant Love). This explosive drama centres on a resilient mother, forced to delve into the dark world of money laundering to defeat her enemies at their own game to protect her son.
If you love Woman of Steel, then you will love this new telenovela, as it follows a similar storyline, and the characters have different names.

The Woman In Charge Synopsis
The Woman in Charge tells the story of Gloria Guzmán, a woman who has everything anyone could desire. A successful professional and mother, she is about to marry the father of her young son, FGE commander Juan José Cruz, but the celebration turns into tragedy when a group of hitmen bursts into the wedding and kills Juan José.
Gloria not only loses her great love, but also her family turns their back on her, the government seizes all her assets, and the media points fingers at her. Her husband’s enemies pursue her to demand payment for dirty deals she was unaware of.
Now penniless, Gloria must flee and begins an endless race that will force her to break into the underworld of money laundering to save her son.
In her fight for survival, she will be mentored by top crime bosses whom she must win over by utilizing her two most formidable assets: her beauty and her intelligence.
The stellar cast also includes Mauricio Henao, Andrés Almeida, Azela Robinson, Verónica Merchant, José María Galeano, Jorge Luis Moreno, and Yany Prado. The ensemble is rounded out by renowned actors Pepe Gímez, Julieta Grajales, Sara Corrales, Uriel del Toro, Jesús Moré, Guillermo Quintanilla, Gary Centeno, Laura Vignatti, Sachi Tamashiro, and Dante Aguiar.
Produced by Telemundo Studios, this series was written by José Vicente Spataro and is directed by Mauricio Corredor, Mauricio Meneses, and Laura Marco. Juan Pablo Ambrís, David Fernández, and Alejandro Tellez are photography directors, with Juan Santiso as production designer.
