The September edition of TrendyMum – The Woman You See Hangout was nothing short of inspiring, refreshing, and empowering.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from the convener, Onome Igugu, who unpacked the meaning of the theme “The Woman You See.” She explained that the hangout was about helping women embrace every version of themselves — the nurturer, the dreamer, the professional, the friend — and still recognize that they are enough.
A Conversation on Style and Presence
One of the highlights of the day was a heart-to-heart conversation with our style guru, Mrs. Francisca Ajakaiye, founder of Mzeeda Events, who spoke on Style Aura. Her words were a gentle reminder that: People may not always remember what you say, but they’ll remember your presence.

She challenged every woman to look beyond clothes, hair, or makeup when they stand in front of the mirror—and instead see their strength, power, and beauty. “You are enough,” she charged, leaving the women empowered to own their identity with confidence.
Fun, Games, and Bonding
After the inspiring session, the energy turned vibrant as the women engaged in fun games, shared lots of laughter, and even indulged in some 90s karaoke that had everyone singing along and reliving nostalgic moments. Each guest also went home with personalized goody bags, a thoughtful reminder of the day’s experience.
Beyond the activities, the most beautiful part of the hangout was the atmosphere — warm, open, and safe. Women freely shared their thoughts, connected deeply, and built bonds that went beyond the event itself.
