Super Eagles forward Boniface dropped a cryptic ‘I don hang boot’ post after Russia draw.
Glamtush reports that Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has hinted at early retirement from international duty in a cryptic post on Instagram.
It came hours after Nigeria held Russia to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly in Moscow.
Boniface featured for 61 minutes, before Eric Chelle replaced him with Tolu Arokodare, who went on to equalize for the Eagles.
In the caption, Boniface spoke about his gratitude for “every moment, the good and the bad” of playing for Nigeria.
“Proud to play for my country and a dream for me also. Really enjoyed every moment, the good and the bad. Thanks a lot. Thank you all. I don hang boot,” the post reads.
A few minutes later, however, the Bayer Leverkusen forward deleted the post.
The 24-year-old made his debut against São Tomé and Príncipe in September 2023, but is yet to score a single goal.
