Nedu has stepped down from the Honest Bunch Podcast amid recent controversy.
Glamtush reports that Nigerian media personality, Chinedu Emmanuel Ani, Nedu Wazobia has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch Podcast following recent controversies and allegations made against him by social media personality VeryDarkMan.
In a statement released today, Nedu cited the need for personal peace and show integrity as key factors in his decision. “This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary—for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself,” he stated.
The announcement comes after a week of intense social media scrutiny, sparked by allegations from Very Dark Man who accused Nedu of improper relationships with female guests on his show, among other claims.
The Honest Bunch Podcast, known for its candid discussions and bold approach to controversial topics, has been a significant platform in Nigeria’s digital media space. Nedu acknowledged the show’s impact while expressing concern about the recent negative attention.
“I have always been committed to honest conversations, but when those conversations lead to relentless attacks and misrepresentation, it becomes clear that stepping back is the best path forward,” Nedu explained in his statement.
While stepping away from the podcast, Nedu indicated his continued commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue in other capacities. He expressed gratitude to his supporters and wished the show continued success.
The podcast’s future direction and potential new host have not yet been announced.
