As we know, there are eight finalists battling for the grand prize of N100 million, but the reality show only needs one winner, and who will that be?
This ninth season of Big Brother Naija, tagged ‘No Loose Guard’, kicked off in grand style on Sunday, August with 28 housemates, competing in pairs. They brought their A-game for 71 intense days.
With weekly twists, tasks, and evictions, the house has been full of drama, keeping viewers glued to their screens as one by one, housemates were voted out either as a duo or individual after they were split.
And now, there are just eight contenders remaining – Kellyrae, Anita, Ozee, Nelly, Onyeka, Sooj, Victoria, and Wanni.
Today, one of your favourite housemates will join past winners of the show which held its first season in 2006. These reality stars have stayed shining bright long after their time in Biggie’s house.
1. Katung Aduwak (Winner: Season 1, 2006)
Katung made history as BBNaija’s first-ever winner. Since then, he’s established himself in the media industry, becoming a creative force. He currently serves as CEO of One O Eight Media and has held senior roles at MTV Base and Viacom International. Katung has also been involved in various production projects across Africa.
2. Efe Ejeba (Winner: Season 2, 2017)
Efe won over hearts with his relatable personality and Warri slang. After BBNaija, Efe turned to music and continues to build his brand in the entertainment scene. He was also appointed as Plateau State’s Youth and Entertainment Ambassador, cementing his role as a cultural figure.
3. Miracle Igbokwe (Winner: Season 3, 2018)
Miracle’s quiet determination won him the title in 2018. He’s since pursued his passion in aviation, earning his pilot’s license in the USA. His journey remains an inspiration to many young Nigerians who dream big.
4. Mercy Eke (Winner: Season 4, 2019)
She became the first woman to win the show. She’s built a successful career as a brand influencer and actress, appearing in Nollywood movies. Mercy continues to grace the red carpet, including bagging the Best Dressed Female Award at the AMVCA’s inaugural year.
5. Laycon (Winner: Season 5, 2020)
Laycon’s rise from the BBNaija house to musical stardom has been swift. Following his win, Laycon was named Ogun State’s Youth Ambassador and has received accolades in the Nigerian music industry, including an Artist of the Year award at the Naijatraffic Awards.
6. Whitemoney (Winner: Season 6, 2021)
Known for his savvy business sense, Whitemoney didn’t slow down after his BBNaija win. He’s an influential entrepreneur and brand ambassador for some companies. His passion for music also continues, with collaborations and new releases in the works.
7. Phyna (Winner: Season 7, 2022)
Phyna became the second woman to win BBNaija in 2022. She’s since built a presence in entertainment, focusing on brand endorsements and exploring opportunities in acting and content creation.
8. Ilebaye Odiniya (Winner: Season 8, 2023)
Ilebaye made history as the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars edition. Known for her charm and strategic gameplay, Ilebaye quickly became a fan favourite. Since her win, she’s focused on social media influencing, as well as exploring opportunities in music and acting. Her versatility and appeal have made her a prominent figure in the entertainment scene
