A Former National Chairman of PDP, Vincent Ogbulafor is dead.
Glamtush reports that former Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Chairman, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, is dead.
This online platform understands that Ogbulafor died on Thursday night in Canada at the age of 73.
Confirming the death, of the PDP’s first National Secretary, a family member who wished to be anonymous said Ogbulafor died of an undisclosed illness.
A former National Secretary, Ogbulafor, became National Chairman of the PDP after Umaru Yar’ Adua won the 2007 Presidential election.
An indigene of Olokoro in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, his stewardship courted controversy with statements credited to him, considered uncomplimentary.
He was quoted as saying that he didn’t give a damn if Nigeria became a one-party state even as he boasted that PDP would govern Nigeria for at least 60 years. That dream was however aborted when the party lost power in 2015 to the All Progressives Congress.
Ogbulafor, who was born on May 24, 1949, was the first PDP’s National Secretary before he later became the party’s National Chairman.
The deceased was, however, forced to resign his position after he fell out with some top PDP chieftains.
He was accused of financial recklessness while serving as a minister.
