Kachikwu has described Obi as part of the old politicians, says he has nothing to offer.
Glamtush reports that the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, Tuesday night, ruled out in totality any talks to form an alliance with the candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi, hours before the commencement of electoral campaigns.
This online platform understands that Kachikwu, who appeared on Channels TV‘s ‘Politics Today’, described Obi as part of the old political bloc who had nothing to offer Nigerians and was only in the race for personal gains.
He said, “Why we won’t come together with Obi to form an alliance is because there is no difference between him and other candidates. He is part of the old political order.
“Peter Obi is part of those who have held office, he is part of the same bloc and doesn’t have anything to offer Nigerians. So, there is no reason to come together for the purpose of taking power.
Speaking further, the presidential candidate noted that an alliance would be formed based on values adding that background conversations were ongoing with the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Adewole Adebayo and Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress.
“For someone like the presidential candidate of SDP or Omoyele Sowore, will we consider working together? Absolutely.
“It is possible we form an alliance with the likes of SDP and AAC. We are having background conversation to ensure we are heard and seen,” he said.
