Pencil skirt

Pencil skirts are usually figure-hugging and are knee-length or slightly below the knee. You can pair it with a lovely top or shirt for formal and office wear. For a more formal look, you can add a blazer or jacket paired with lovely shoes. You have the choice of opting for different colours, designs and details that suits your tone and style. You can also dress it down with a t-shirt or casual top and a pair of sneakers for a casual outing with friends and family. Midi skirt

Midi skirts length are generally in between the mini and maxi skirts. They cover the knees but are usually above the ankles. Midi skirts can be flattering for all body types especially when paired with the right top. It is best to wear this style with high heels. Its conservative length makes it perfect for more formal occasions.

A-Line skirt

The A-line skirt is tight at the waist emphasising the hips and then flares out at the bottom. It draws attention to the waistline. A-line skirt suits all body types and can be worn to a variety of casual and formal events. The basic lengths for A-line skirts are knee length, calf length and ankle length. Just ensure you opt for a nice fabric in length that will flatter your figure.

Fishtail skirt

The fishtail skirt is also known as the mermaid skirt because of its shape. Inspired by the mermaid myths, this style has a fish cut flaring at the end. The fishtail skirt beautifully flaunts the hipline. And it comes basically in calf length and ankle length. If you have a well-toned body or endowed with an hourglass shape, then, this skirt is for you.

Straight skirt

This skirt style can also be called the usual type of skirt. Straight skirts are usually tight at the waist and hip area and go straight along the legs as they flaunt the wearer’s shape. It is very similar to the pencil skirt but they are a little less tight at the knees.

Maxi skirt

These skirts are loose and long from the waist to the ankle. It comes in a variety of styles and fabrics. Depending on the fabric, the maxi skirt can either be tight and form-fitting, or it can flow away from the body in a looser manner. If you like a more conservative look, this will work for you perfectly especially when you tuck in your top to give emphasis to your waist. For an edgy look, you can opt for one with a thigh slit or pair it with a beautiful top.

Mini skirt

These are the skirts with hemlines that are above the knee. For women who are endowed with lovely legs, donning a mini skirt is a great way to show off your well-toned and beautiful legs. They come in quite a variety of styles, colours and fabrics. The choice is yours.
