5 Things You Should Not Wear When You Travel

Traveling via plane or car can sometimes be a stressful experience. Regardless, one of the things that many people overlook or do not take into consideration is what they wear when they travel. This is key because the attire you adorn can exacerbate your already stressful trip and totally ruin it. In line with this, Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, rolls out things you should not wear when you travel.

Uncomfortable clothes

If you are spending long hours on a flight or in a car, you want to be comfortable. So, don’t make your journey more difficult by choosing to wear uncomfortable clothes. Similarly, avoid very tight fitting attires as it can cause a lot of distress.

Shoes that aren’t good for walking

It is advisable to wear shoes that you can easily walk around in. Comfortable shoes are important if you are running to catch a flight or a bus. If you wear unpleasant shoes, you will either fall over your foot or remove it.

Flashy jewellery

There is absolutely no need to show off your jewellery when you’re on a trip. If you have to wear one, simply keep it to a minimum. This will reduce the chances of attracting unwarranted attention, something getting broken or lost in transit.

Contact lenses

When travelling, there is a high possibility that you will be dealing with dry air. So, do your eyes a favour and wear your glasses instead of contact lenses. Your glasses will be a lot more comfortable than your contacts, and they will cause fewer problems if you want to take a quick nap.

Perfume

It is better you let go the perfume especially if you are flying. It may smell great to you, but that may not be the case for the person sitting next to you. They may simply find the scent unpleasant. Pack your fragrance and apply it later or simply use a or deodorant instead.
