5 Big Signs You Need To Lose Weight

Weight gain, is there anyone who actually likes it? Nowadays, we live busy lives where we need to eat on the go and the majority of us don’t really have enough time to keep track of all those calories. Even if we did keep track of them, we probably wouldn’t have enough time to think about it or deal with it. And one day, we wake up and see something that we don’t like in the mirror.

That’s why it would be great to spot early signs of weight gain. We need those signals that will wake us up and remind us to start doing something about it. That’s why we present to you the five big signs that you need to lose weight!

Clothes malfunction

Do you know that one pair of jeans that are your absolute favorite? That one pair you love and have had for like an eternity? Well, if they suddenly don’t fit or are extremely tight, that’s the sign you need to start losing weight. How about those shirts? Suddenly, shirts with a single ‘X’ on the size label aren’t comfy enough or expose too much? Yet again, we have an obvious sign of weight gain. And don’t get us started on the topic of bras. It’s so uncomfortable when it gets too tight and it’s a real blow to the confidence.

Yawning throughout the day

Isn’t it weird that you feel tired in the afternoon even though you had a good night’s sleep? Yes, tiredness is a symptom of being overweight and unfit. If you are tired all the time, there is a great chance that it’s happening due to the fact that you gained weight. But that also means that you aren’t working out like you should. That’s why you need to find some time to exercise on a regular basis. That way, you’ll get the energy back. Even if you can’t find the time to visit the gym, look for fitness equipment suitable for homes. For example, this culture of home workouts is so popular in Australia that the majority of gym equipment stores sell their goods online. Aussies see the benefits of working out at home and that’s why there are tons of stores that sell equipment for fitness in Australia online. Why don’t we start working out at our homes?

Snoring

Excess weight can result in obstructive sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition where your breathing repeatedly stops for ten seconds or more during sleep. Loud gasping-like snoring can be a symptom of sleep apnea. The disorder results in decreased oxygen in the blood and can awaken sleepers throughout the night. The most common cause of obstructive sleep apnea is excess weight and obesity. On top of that, many couples fight over it. It isn’t so nice to sleep beside a person that snores loudly. Therefore, if your partner seems tired all day long or complains about their quality of sleep, you may want to examine whether you have been the cause of it. And most importantly, start losing weight.

Joint pain

Are you starting to feel pain in your knees or ankles? Maybe you have a hard time sitting down for a longer period of time? Well, if your knees, hips and back ache, that’s most likely happening due to the extra weight that you are carrying around. Excess weight puts pressure on joints and can wear down the tissue around them, which will obstruct your movement and make your joints ache. If you’re already having a hard time walking or doing any kind of physical activity due to excess weight, try to find a swimming pool and start physical therapy. Exercising in the pool on a regular basis is a sure way to lose weight and on top of that, the pressure on your joints is minimal. Your joints won’t hurt so much and you’ll have fun losing weight.

You hate stairs

If you get winded walking up the stairs or just walking in general, it is most probably due to weight gain. It has been proven that the respiratory capacity decreases as you gain weight. Breathlessness can be associated with inactivity, a sign that your heart and lungs aren’t getting the workout they need to operate optimally. And believe us, you’ll want your heart and lungs to operate optimally. In the end, your heart is what’s keeping you alive. Don’t mess it up with unnecessary food and inactivity.

Now that you’ve been introduced to the signs and symptoms, we’d like to ask you a question. Are you experiencing any of these symptoms? If you are, you might want to do something about it. Being healthy is of the utmost importance.
