A 300-level Banking and Finance undergraduate of UNIBEN, Ejiro Joy Akpokiniovo, on Sunday, beat 13 other contestants in a keenly contested pageant to be crowned, Best Model Nigeria Season 6 the “Queen Edition.”
Judges for the evening were renowned model and Nollywood actor, Bryan Okwara who ws also winner Best Model Africa 2010, Face of the World 2016, Adedamola Iyiola Cruz, fashion designer/ beauty queen, Mrs. Goodness Ugbah and Best Model Nigeria 2012, Segun Oyeyemi.
Faith Ogechi Nwihim and Ruth Darcy Otekewebia will represent Nigeria at the Face of the World 2017 in the United Kingdom and Miss Progress International taking place in Italy respectively.
1st Runner up went to Pamela Orizu, Damilola Oreoluwa Oladimeji was 2nd runner up, Face of BMN was clinched by Chioma Naomi Wariboku while best Catwalk was awarded to Sandra Ikegwu.
John Lilly picked up best traditional outfit, best social was awarded Favour Opara, best talent went to Mary Isioma Asia
The event which held on Sunday, September 11 at the Bespoke Event center, Lagos, and anchored by comedian, MC Abbey, had in attendance the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Duro Oni, Director General of SMEDAN, Dr Umoru Diko Rada ably represented by Mrs. Gloria Dafeta, CEO Caniz Group, Dr. Austin Izagbo, and MD/CEO Goldmoore Int’l, Jude Onwusonye.
At the end of the event, the organizers, Mr. & Mrs Emmanuel Okitiakpe expressed their gratitude to individuals, companies as well media outfits who supported the event.
