27 People Placed On Compulsory Self-Isolation In Bauchi
No fewer than 27 people have been placed on compulsory self-isolation in Bauchi State.
The compulsory isolation which covers a minimum of 14 days is to determine their coronavirus status.
This was disclosed in a situation update given by the Bauchi State Ministry of Health Disease Control Unit on Wednesday.
Although, the status of those placed on compulsory self-isolation was not disclosed but it was gathered that they have had contact with a COVID-19 confirmed case.
It would be recalled that the state governor Bala Mohammed tested positive to coronavirus following contact with former Vice President’s son, Mohammed Atiku Abubakar who earlier tested positive to Covid-19.
Isolation centers have also been established in the state in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Toro, Azare, Bauchi Specialists Hospitals and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, are centres to contain any threat of the pandemic.
