25-Year-Old Woman R.A.P.E.D, Genitals Mutilated In Mysterious Circumstances
Police in Trans Nzoia West Sub-County, Kenya are investigating the circumstances in which a 25-year-old woman was r.a.p.e.d., her body mutilated dumped on the roadside in Bonde Village, Tuwaini Sub-Location on Tuesday night.
The area assistant chief, Jackline Siyoya, told K24 Digital that the body of the woman was collected from the roadside at 6am Wednesday.
“She was half-n.a.k.e.d with a stick inserted in her private parts,” said the administrator.
The deceased has been identified as Elizabeth Wanyoyi, a resident of Bungoma County, who had visited her elder sister who lives in Veterinary area in Trans Nzoia.
Elizabeth was last seen on Tuesday evening walking on the streets alongside her elder sister, the sister’s husband and another man, who is yet to be identified.
It remains unclear how Elizabeth was abducted and s.e.xually assaulted.
The whereabouts of the deceased’s sister, her spouse and the unidentified man remain unknown.
Police suspect that a love triangle could have led to Elizabeth’s killing.
The 25-year-old’s body was taken to the Kitale County Referral Hospital morgue for autopsy.
