Supporters of All Progressives Congress chieftain, Bola Tinubu, will, on October 23, formally inaugurate an office where operations leading to his campaign will take place.
Glamtush learnt that the news comes a few days after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State launched the South-West Agenda 2023 campaign codenamed SWAGA.
Although Tinubu has not formally declared his intention to run for president in 2023, his supporters, many of whom are elected government officials, have begun mobilizing support for him nationwide
The campaign office, which is located on Lake Chad Street in the highbrow Maitama District of Abuja, is expected to be a beehive of activities.
Confirming the development, the lawmaker representing Ikeja federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr. James Faleke, said all supporters were happy about the return of Tinubu who had been in London for the last three months recuperating from knee surgery.
“Save the date. It is October 23,” Faleke told The Punch.
Faleke, who is the coordinator for all the groups, had stated last week that Tinubu remained the only person that could pilot the affairs of the country, adding that his achievement as Lagos State governor was a testament to his competence.
“You can be sure that if Tinubu did great in Lagos State as governor and leader, he will do more for the country,’’ he stressed.
