No fewer than 20 private jets conveying prominent personalities landed at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport for the wedding of the son of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari’s son, Yusuf, got married to the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Zahra Bayero in Kano on Friday.
Among the dignitaries that attended the event were former President Goodluck Jonathan, a former President of Niger Republic, Muhammdu Isoufu; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, governors Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), and Babagana Zulum (Borno), among others, Daily Trust reported on Friday.
Also present were lawmakers and other government personalities.
The couple was joined together as man and wife by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Ali Isa Pantami, at Bichi Central Mosque.
Buhari’s nephew, Maman Daura, received the bride on behalf of the President, while an influential businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, gave out the bride on behalf of the Bayero family.
