Glamtush reports that Peter Obi has expressed fate that Nigeria’s democracy must survive following the action of the youths in Calabar to take the decision of participating actively in the governance of the country.
Recall that on Saturday, youths in Calabar, in support of Peter Obi’s presidential ambition organized a peaceful road walk rally in honour of the former Anambra State presidential ambition and to sensitize residents of Calabar and Cross River state on the need to make good voting decisions come 2023 general election.
Peter Obi stated that the action of the youths who go by the name ‘Obidients’ show that there is hunger among Nigerian youths to unite together and take back the country from bad governance.
He encouraged the youths by their decision to actively participate in rescuing the country, stating, ” It is our journey, and we will never labour in vain.”
Expressing his appreciation for the solidarity match Peter Obi said, “To the millions of young people in our country who have continued to advance the cause of our OBIdient Movement, I say Thank you.
“To our OBIdient Family in Calabar, Cross River State; your show of love and solidarity to the movement yesterday have added so much courage and greater zeal to our common mission.
“United together, we will take back our country from bad governance, and institute true and diligent leadership and sustainable development. It is our journey, and we will never labour in vain. Nigeria’s Democracy must survive. “
